Jacquelyn S. Leleu

Jacquelyn S. Leleu has been representing businesses and advising business owners since 1999.   She has extensive experience in all phases of commercial and employment-related litigation, and also handles transactional business matters. She not only focuses her energies on collaborating with owners and executive management to devise practical legal solutions to business concerns, but also spends time learning about her clients’ needs and goals and uses that information in order to zealously advocate on behalf of those clients.  Her primary goal is to keep her clients out of litigation but also works to ensure that, if litigation does arise, those clients are in a position to prevail.

Ms. Leleu regularly handles employment law matters for clients in a diverse range of industries, including education, retail, food service, construction, gaming, manufacturing, trade show, and financial services. Clients contact her to answer their day-to-day employment questions, review employee handbooks and employment policies, as well as to handle their more complex legal matters. Whether she is defending an employer before the Illinois Department of Human Rights, guiding employers through the sensitive HR matters, or litigating a discrimination case, Ms. Leleu makes client communication a priority and works towards resolving these matters in a fast and efficient way so that her clients can return their focus to their businesses.

Ms. Leleu has extensive experience in every phase of litigation, from pleading and motion practice through discovery, settlement, and trial.  She has particular expertise in handling complex business disputes and the substantive claims that arise in those disputes, including breach of contract, interference with contract, business entity dissolutions, fraud, conversion, breach of fiduciary duty, trade secrets, and non-compete/non-solicitation agreements.

A Chicagoland native, Ms. Leleu attended Loyola University Chicago and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts in Political Science in 1992.  She received her juris doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 1999.
